Interesting — The Computer History Museum, the world's largest history museum dedicated to the preservation and presentation of the artifacts and stories of the information age, will celebrate a new physical and online exhibit, "Mastering The Game: A History of Computer Chess".

Santa Barbara's not that long a drive! I live around the corner from the CHM and would be glad to go see this if you come up. There are plenty of WP people around, we could probably organize something.
Unfortunately, I won't be around for this particular exhibit.
However, I might come to SF for a day or two before i fly back. I'll post a notice before I go.
